8-bit porn

I understand the appeal of the 8-bit aesthetic. There was a time when a digital representations of anything, no matter how simply rendered, seemed cool and clever. For those of us who were young during the late 1970s and early 1980s, 8-bit art can still provoke nostalgic, heart-warming reactions.

JeanYves Lemoigne has subverted that feeling (or taken it to a new level, depending on your sensabilities) with these sculptures / photographs. Trying to remain open minded, I'm left wondering: Must we peel the panties off the feeling of being 9 years old?
